My Philosophy

Ever since I was a child I wanted to be a teacher. I had a chalkboard behind my bedroom door and I use to pretend my dolls were my students. Till this day I really enjoy what I do. Teaching is the way to make a student learn any concept or conduct.

Teaching has so much value. As teachers we have “power” and we need to use it wisely. We reached many homes through the students. We need to spread positive things. Teach concepts that they never forget and make it pertinent to their lives and useful to their own environment.

I use constructivism and behaviorism methods. I strongly believe that both methods have their benefits in a teaching-learning process, if you utilize them correctly. In some classes I will make students work by themselves and let them discover their own knowledge, but some classes I need to be behaviorist and need to teach rules or other concepts. The success is to have a balance between these two methods.

I like to conduct many activities for them. They need experiences that involve learning. Activities such as: planting, field trips, recycling projects, special guest and parents in the classroom, involve them with seniors, special projects at school, games, and activities in the classroom, etc.

I am very helpful and give myself completely to my profession. I love and enjoy teaching very much. It is very satisfying when I hear a child read for the first time and seeing his face full of joy when they discover they can do it. Best of all is that it is acquired knowledge which they will take the rest of their lives and in what ever profession they chose.

I want my students to remember me as the teacher who believed in them, the one who saw something special in each of them, the teacher who changed my way of thinking and the way I saw things and. the one who changed my life for the good and made a difference. I want them to remember me as a special and unique teacher.
